Adult games. How I tried shibari on myself or why people ask to be tied up

“Trace of the Piranha” by Alexander Bushkov

there is such a paragraph.

After another four blocks, Mazur felt more confident and began to show the way, every now and then casting sidelong glances at the blond girl who was moving. Yeah! His belt was of the good old style - with a regular buckle. Quickly pulling it off, Mazur made a loop and wrapped it around the captive’s wrists...

What kind of knot is this “dead loop”

Is it possible to make a loop out of a belt that tightens (and does not unravel when trying to free itself)? What is this unusual “ordinary”
buckle that allows you to make
a “loop”

I have several books on knots. I looked there. A knot called “dead loop”

Although, of course, there are probably several tens of thousands of knots in total, there are special knots for tying hands - “drunk”
Knots for tying hands

Node layoutDiagram of the formation of “ears”We get “ears”

Some clarifications.

The nodes appear to be the same. In both layouts, the left loop lies on top of the right one. But in a “drunk” knot, the running end goes from below the left loop and on top of the right one, and in the “kaandal” knot it goes on top of the left loop and forms the right loop from below. The formation of the “ears” occurs in the same way - the left edge of the bottom loop is pulled over the left edge of the top loop, and the right edge of the top loop is pulled under the right edge of the bottom loop.

Linking occurs as follows.
Using a node

“Ears” are put on the hands.
The loops are tightening.
They are completely delayed. (Here they are conditionally not tightened so that you can see the structure of the knot).
The running ends are tied behind the victim's body. Actually, this can partly be considered a disadvantage of the unit. In particular, if Mazur had tied the captive with such a knot, he would have had to hold the ends in his hand. Which, in general, is not fatal.
In the end everything looks something like this. (The knot is not tightened).

But these knots are made of ropes.

“dead loop” itself

- rather from aviation. This is the name of one of the aerobatic maneuvers, otherwise known as the “Nesterov loop”.

Well, is it possible to make a tightening loop from a belt? Can.

Even as a child (somewhere in the 60s of the last century), I was shown how police officers tie their hands with a belt - then there were no traces of handcuffs.

I was struck by the originality of using the belt, the simplicity and reliability of tying (tightening) the loop, the (complete) impossibility of the tied one to undo the loop on his own and, on the other hand, the ease of an outsider to remove it.

Here's how it's done.
Belt loop

Take a regular trouser belt.
The “unusual” thing about a regular buckle is that the buckle must form a continuous rectangular ring. A soldier's trouser belt will not work here, because its buckle is not solid, but has a slot.
From the running end of the belt we make such a flat loop...
...and thread it through the buckle.
It turns out to be a double loop. Or, if you prefer, a double layer loop.
We find suitable hands.
We put a double loop on the hands.
We tighten (pull out) the free running end.
The same thing (tightening) happens if you twist the belt (in this case) counterclockwise. This must be done in the final stages of tightening. So that everything is “no fools”. It’s easy to determine which direction to twist - the running end should come out of the loop. With some skill, the noose tightens quite quickly.
The noose is tight. And, although the free end dangles freely, the loop does not unravel. And the tied one can never undo or untie the noose, since there is no knot as such. (And this whole structure is held together by the internal friction of the double loop).
From the outside, the loop unravels quite simply, no matter how tightly it is tightened. It is necessary to twist the belts in the opposite direction, (in this case) clockwise (so that the running end goes inward, increases the length of the belt in the loop and thereby reduces friction between the loops).
The loop is unraveling...
...and can be easily removed.
So it's all about this kind of loop. this in mind .

I have not seen a description of this unit (from a belt) in the literature and I do not know of any other use for it. That's why I called it the "police hub"

In the above passage, it would probably be easier for the author to use a “shackle knot”

Like, “...there was a piece of rope in the glove compartment, Mazur instantly built a “shackle” knot and securely tied the captive’s hands.”
Which would be quite plausible and educational. (The reader might be interested in knots).

True, the rope in the glove compartment looks like a “grand piano in the bushes.”

In this sense, "pulling"

taking the belt off is more believable. In the army, belts are mandatory. But…

But a fighter without a belt clearly loses a certain percentage of his combat effectiveness - it doesn’t hurt to jump if your trousers are constantly slipping down.

There is even a technique for shackling prisoners. The trousers (and the trouser belt, respectively) are ripped open from behind with a knife. The prisoner constantly has to support his trousers with his hands. No active waving of the arms is possible (the trousers immediately fall off). Escape is also difficult. Without hands you won’t be able to accelerate much, but if you start waving your arms, your trousers will get tangled in your legs.

That's it.

How to make handcuffs and learn how to tie sea knots

In some dangerous situations, ordinary handcuffs are an indispensable means of self-defense. For example, when it is necessary to detain an attacker until a police patrol arrives. But often people simply neglect to purchase freedom limiters, which, of course, leads to disastrous results. However, in a critical situation, you can try to make handcuffs yourself.

You can learn how to make handcuffs with your own hands from numerous tutorials and video instructions. However, all this information is unlikely to help you in a critical situation where every second counts. Conventional means of self-defense, the use of which most often precedes the use of handcuffs, unfortunately, knock out the enemy for a period of ten to twenty minutes. The manufacturing process, according to most manuals on how to make handcuffs with your own hands, takes much longer.

Therefore, in a critical situation of real self-defense, instead of thinking about how to make handcuffs, it is better to immediately use the means at hand. For example, a freedom restrictor can quite successfully replace a regular jeans belt. The most important thing is to tie the knot tightly. You can even practice tying nautical knots for such occasions.

If, by a strange coincidence, neither you nor your opponent has a belt, the restraints can be made from ordinary branches. We will not dwell in detail on how to make handcuffs from plants. We only note that it is better to use flexible willow twigs or lilac bushes. Of course, such handcuffs will have many disadvantages, but in critical situations they are often the best solution.

Another option for how to make handcuffs in a critical situation from auxiliary materials is to use clothing. A sweater or jacket tied in a nautical knot, similar to straitjackets, can be an excellent means of restricting freedom.

Despite the very effective answers described above to the question of how to make handcuffs from scrap materials, the best option for your self-defense will still be to carry factory-made restraints with you - you can rely on them.

Real handcuffs, unlike homemade ones, are guaranteed not to break during use. They cannot be chewed or removed without special means. In addition, they do not harm the health of your opponent. You can purchase high-quality handcuffs from well-known companies in our online store.

How to open handcuffs without a key

Handcuffs have many different models. But they all go back to a design patented in 1912.

The principle turned out to be extremely simple - snapping in one direction thanks to notches, fixing the mechanism after closing and the ability to adjust to individual wrist circumference.

Before moving on to instructions on how to get out of handcuffs without a key, you need to familiarize yourself with each type of fastening:

  1. Hinged:
used to contain especially dangerous criminals. The angle of mobility tends to 90 degrees and one axis of rotation. When fixing the hands behind the back, they impose restrictions on mobility - it is impossible to move the wrists to a comfortable position in front. If present, master keys can be cracked like any other type.
  2. Monolithic:
completely limit the brushes. They are considered the most difficult to remove and are practically not used.
  3. Finger braces:
Place over the thumbs to reduce mobility as much as possible. Slow down movements. With trained hands and fingers they are not dangerous. You can open the lock even with latches by concentrating your efforts on your index and middle fingers.
  4. Chain:
A common model for most law enforcement agencies. It will be used in 99 cases out of 100. It provides a wide degree of mobility for the prisoner’s hands, namely, all 360. If the hands were fixed behind the back, then they can be safely passed through oneself and extended to the front side. They are opened with an ordinary paper clip in two minutes with proper skill. Exceptions will be individually developed models for special services, where the locking mechanism model is modernized.

What is shibari

The art of shibari originates from the Japanese martial techniques of hojo-jutsu binding. Their goal was not only to immobilize the captive, but also to emphasize his social status - for this, different methods of binding were used. With the end of the wars, bondage techniques migrated into everyday life: women replaced the captives, and the process itself began to be valued for the beauty of bondage.

Now shibari is, first of all, the art of aesthetic rope bandage, which is not devoid of meditative properties. And of course, it has an erotic connotation: shibari can be used to fix a partner (usually, but not necessarily, a woman). In addition, individual elements of the harness can affect its erogenous zones.

How to apply this technique in your personal life is up to everyone to decide for themselves. The main thing is to remember: above all else is mutual desire and, especially at first, caution. Everything else largely depends only on your imagination.

How to tie your hands with a belt? Instructions

The goal has been set, the belt has been chosen, now you can safely move on to practice. There are several ways to tie a person's hands with a belt. We will look at the simplest, but no less effective. A person whose wrists are fixed using this method will have to try very hard to free his hands.

Start by folding the belt in half so that the end forms a loop. Then thread the last one through the buckle. Now straighten the loop inside, a double ring should form, into which the hands of the person being tied should be placed. After this, you just need to pull the free end of the belt above the buckle. Makeshift handcuffs will tighten around your wrists. To secure this position, you can either hold the belt tightly by its free end, or wrap it between your hands and insert it under the loop.

How to choose ropes for shibari

There are two types of ropes: natural and synthetic. The latter are more wear-resistant, but still not the best option: they hold the knot worse and can leave burns on the skin.

With ropes made from natural materials, everything is also not so simple. Cotton ones are the softest, but this can be a problem for thrill-seekers. Linen ropes are also soft, but sometimes they can contain hard inclusions that can damage the skin.

Classics of the genre - jute ropes. They are quite soft so as not to cause injury, but also moderately rough so that a person feels fixed.

Shibari ropes can be made from other natural materials. Make a choice based on your own feelings and the feelings of your partner. And it’s better to buy treated ropes in specialized stores.

Size, length, quantity

To avoid getting confused by the variety of sizes, first select ropes of medium thickness: 6–8 mm. Thinner options will not look as beautiful and will cut into the body too much. It’s more difficult to work with thick ones, and they are more often used to distribute heavy loads (for example, when hanging, and this is definitely not the first step in shibari).

As for the length, two to three meter ropes are convenient for tying hands and feet. Ropes 8–12 meters long are used for tying the chest and hips, and longer pieces are needed for tying the whole body.

The number of ropes depends on the length (as a rule, the longer, the less they are needed) and on the number of knots and tightness of the binding. Simply put, you can tie one knot with one short rope. But if you want to create a complex pattern, you will need two or three, or even more.

Secrets of the lock blocker and some interesting nuances

The most common in the Russian Federation are BRS-1 and BRS-2. In addition, their locks can be endowed with both simple and complex shapes. You need to know that most handcuffs have a specialized lock to control the degree of tightening, which serves as a lock blocker.

So, if the lock is activated (the lever is deep in the hole), first you need to open it, and then start working directly on the lock. The lock opens with one movement in the opposite direction. In addition, there are known models of handcuffs with rigid coupling of bracelets instead of chains. In such cases, the owner’s hands are given the bare minimum of freedom. But it is almost impossible to open these handcuffs, but with the maximum amount of effort, anything is possible in this world!

It is important to note that the process of solving the problem of how to open handcuffs without a key is divided into several stages, regardless of the chosen tool for eliminating the “shackles”. In addition, there is a classification of methods for getting rid of handcuffs depending on whether the owner is a beginner, an amateur, or maybe even a pro.

Which elements to start with?

The basic elements of shibari are binding of the arms, legs, chest and fixation of the whole body. It's better to start with something simple, using guides or your own imagination. After all, shibari is an art; there is no one correct bondage technique.

Tying hands with a stirrup knot

This knot is quite reliable and does not tighten itself, which reduces the likelihood of accidental injury. It's better to start with him.

Fold the rope in half and tie it into a knot as shown in the picture. Insert your partner's wrists into the hole where the middle and ring fingers are and adjust the tension of the loop. The rope should press your palms tightly against each other, but not cause pain.

Secure the loop with a few simple knots. They should lie flat, without overlap.

Similarly, you can tie one wrist or tie your hands behind your back.

Foot binding

Tie the rope to the ankle of your supine partner using a stirrup knot.

Ask your partner to bend his leg at the knee as much as possible; you can move it a couple of centimeters with a slight effort. Wrap the rope around the outside of your thigh, then along the inside, back to your ankle.

Now pass the rope under the already lying turn behind the knots that secure the tied ankle. Make another turn around the leg, but in the opposite direction. It should fit neatly over the first turn with the same tension.

As in the previous case, pass the rope under the already lying turn and change the direction of movement again. The next turn is placed towards the middle of the thigh and with slightly less tension. The rope makes a turn again, reaches the beginning of the turn, passes under it and is led in the opposite direction.

Make a new turn over the previous one, close to it and with the same tension. At the bend, pass the rope under the previous turn. Then secure with a knot and pull it down.

Now gently pull the two lower turns of the rope from the inside of your thigh so that they wrap around your leg more tightly.

The final stage: pass the rope between the thigh and shin, wrap it around the lower turns and pull it back out with a little tension. Secure the rope with a knot. The binding is ready.

Detailed instructions for making other types of knots and various harnesses are presented on this site. You can also find interesting video tutorials on this YouTube channel.

Adult games. How I tried shibari on myself or why people ask to be tied up

Author: Alexandra Gorchinskaya

It’s the middle of a working day, somewhere outside the window the city is bustling about everyday. I’m hanging from the ceiling, tied hand and foot with a thick rope, and I hear someone nearby offering me some hot wax or a couple of blows with a whip.

No, I'm not being tortured. I asked myself to do this to me. I'm trying shibari - the Japanese art of bondage, one of the components of BDSM.

What is shibari

In the famous film Captive of the Caucasus, a simple Soviet student Shurik saves his beloved, an equally simple Soviet student Nina, from a trio of bandits. In one scene, Shurik tries to free her, tightly tied with ropes. It would seem that there is nothing special about this. However, some people have long noticed a special meaning in this. Nina’s body is not just tied up chaotically – it is neatly girded with ropes and entwined with knots with a pattern that is one of the “classic” ones for the shibari technique.

Today, many may have heard about shibari from Japanese films. Often this technique is associated directly with the BDSM culture and it is assumed that “play” with ropes does not go anywhere beyond the bedroom. In fact, these are not toys at all, but a serious and unsafe activity. And in the last couple of years it has become widely popular in Ukraine.

One hypothesis says that shibari originates from the technique of hojo-jutsu. In the 15th-16th centuries, it was used to quickly and reliably immobilize the enemy: it was used when escorting prisoners, arresting criminals, and even as torture - nodes located at certain points could put pressure on the nerve centers and cause the prisoner particularly severe pain.

Later, technology began to acquire aesthetic meanings. The word “beautiful” gradually came to the fore. Both concepts should be distinguished. Shibari – the purpose of which is to obtain pleasure without harming the partner. Hojo is a fighting technique aimed at effectively immobilizing an opponent. And they don’t really worry about health there. For all this, there is a wide variety of knots, special ropes, dozens of tying methods and individual techniques - depending on who exactly needs to be tied and why.

In the modern world, shibari is already popular far beyond Japan as an art of aesthetic and erotic bondage and a component of BDSM culture. The main emphasis is on the beauty and complexity of the patterns, as well as on the emotional and bodily sensations of the person being tied.

Shibari is not necessarily a way to diversify the sex life of partners, as many people think. This is a practice that has much broader meanings behind it. Moreover, binding is often followed by hanging. If you want to experience something like this, it is better to go to a specially trained person for this, but under no circumstances try it at home. An important component is trust. When putting yourself in the hands of a person, you need to understand whether he is competent enough in what he is doing and whether he will do any harm. The master who does the tying is called a rigger. There are quite a lot of them in Ukraine.

How does this happen

Of course, you won’t find an advertisement offering to tie and hang it on every pole. But there are more options than you might think at first. For example, in Kyiv and Kharkov, master classes and training are periodically held for those who want to learn this skill, parties with demonstration performances, and at the end of this month there is even a two-day festival planned for shibari lovers. Semi-closed meetings are also held, something like a club of interests - a kind of “macrame lovers’ circle”, only in real life. Again, getting there “from the street” is not easy. But if you get there, they will happily tie you up and hang you up, tell you, show you and give you new impressions.

As a rule, at such events there is an unspoken rule - do not take photos or videos without the consent of all participants, or so that others do not get into the frame. BDSM is not like picking daisies in a field, after all, the reaction of others can be ambiguous. It is also not worth distracting the master and the model from the process.

By the way, about the reaction. Usually those who have “passed by” perceive bondage as something very perverted and sophisticated. Therefore, out loud from many you can hear comments like: “Perverts” and “There is nothing more to do.” But when I posted a photo from one of these meetings on my Facebook, a variety of people started writing in private messages. “Where can I try this?”, “Is it expensive?”, “Is it really possible in Kyiv? I’ve been dreaming for a long time,” that’s what they asked. That is, it turned out that there are quite a lot of people who want to experience one of the popular BDSM practices in their own skin.

After a general meeting at the “club of interests,” I “rent” a rigger for a photo shoot in the studio. By the way, not just any studio is suitable here - for hanging it is important that there are hooks in the ceiling. Therefore, a great option is places where they do, for example, fly yoga. We go to the Alpha Gravity School studio - the alpha gravity complex that they practice there is also built on exercises in the air.

Rigger Ivan has been practicing bondage for two years. During this time, I managed to learn from masters from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and was even lucky to take a couple of lessons from the Japanese Kinbakushi ( in Japanese terminology, this is what a master is called, from the word Kinbaku - a synonym for shibari. The ending is “Shi” ( Shi) means in this case a respectful address to a professional).

As in any other BDSM practice, during bondage it is imperative to adhere to the principles of Safety, Reasonability and Voluntariness. They will not do anything to you without your consent, break your bones or deliberately tie you with ropes until you can’t breathe. Therefore, during the process of tying up, Ivan periodically asks me questions: are my hands going numb, are the ropes too tight, am I comfortable. This may seem strange to some. But, in fact, a true master is able to tie a partner in completely different ways.

“You can do it rigidly, so that the ropes dig in - for amateurs, you can place the model in the ropes, like in a hammock, it will be soft and comfortable,” says Ivan.

Before practice, he tunes in to the wave of the second person - it is important to feel the partner’s mood, understand why he came and what sensations he craves. Then he starts tying. He starts from the chest: he puts my hands behind my back and throws on the ropes. Then he makes a “pattern”. They also come in varying complexity.

— Someone comes for new emotional states. Some people ask to knit for a photo shoot - in such cases it is more of a picture than an emotional practice. “Some people just like to experience pain or feel control over their body,” explains the master.

One of the sensations that I received during the ties is associated with pain. Nobody said it wouldn't hurt. The whole point is that with proper tying it shouldn’t hurt “at random”. It will hurt - but it is a pleasant and controllable pain.

While the master pulls the body into ropes, the skin, unaccustomed to such influence, resists. At some moments, it seems that my hands folded behind my back are going numb. Pressure in the chest can sometimes make it difficult to breathe. This is where the proverbial “hurt” comes into play. In fact, this is simply the body’s reaction to unusual circumstances. If you wait and cross your pain threshold, the next feeling that comes is surprise. Because where it just seemed to “hurt”, now it doesn’t hurt at all. And my hands no longer go numb. It feels oddly satisfying to be confronted with what seems to be pain and then immediately overcome it.

When the master finishes tying, he takes out large jingling carabiners and attaches them to the rope corset. Then he stretches out the ropes and with a deft movement lifts him up, hanging his “work of art” in the air, on a special ring under the ceiling. And now, you are already hanging like a fly caught in a spider’s web. Like an animal caught in a net. The ropes begin to press again, because the body is not at all used to being tied up and in a suspended state. But then this pain goes away.

Ivan gently swings me, and I dangle from side to side. At this moment there is a complete vacuum in my head. Not a single thought, not a single emotion. Only the feeling of a body rotating like an astronaut in some incomprehensible spaces. Then I thought about how I wish I could turn off my brain this way as needed. At this moment, the rigger, like a true creator, enjoys his work. Either he moves away to look at everything from afar, then he gets closer again. He looks into my face, gently fingers the hair on my head, and whispers something.

From a distance, it may seem that the harness is solid, and it takes a long time to untangle it. In fact, all the parts can be “assembled” separately. For example, a master can bandage his hands if they are numb, without untying the rest of the structure. In case the model needs to be freed from the ropes very quickly, the master has scissors. For safety reasons, you take a first aid kit with you to all sessions.

You never know what he will do to you now: he will pat you on the head or take you by the hair to swing you even more, lower you head down so that your face touches the floor, or pull the ropes even tighter. This is a carrot and stick method - you are completely in the power of another person and trust him. And he either “regrets” or “torments”. They may ask you: “Now imagine that I’m leaving now. How will you feel? Get up and get out of sight. In fact, this is an interesting psychological reaction test. It is different for everyone.

— The reaction can be completely different. Someone gets excited, someone screams loudly or panics, they may laugh, while others, on the contrary, calm down and peace sets in. This is how the emotions that have accumulated inside come out,” says Ivan.

By the way, masters can also have different motivations. Some people enjoy working on the smallest details, tying knots and creating beautiful intricacies, while others, on the contrary, enjoy the process of immobilization itself. This is how sadistic inclinations are realized more than aesthetic ones.

From another point of view, shibari can even be considered a body-oriented practice aimed at obtaining new, acute bodily sensations and experiencing unusual emotional states. Those who come specifically for pain sometimes ask to add “colors” to the process: for example, they bring a whip or use wax from burning candles to sharpen the sensations.

The master removes the ropes from the suspension and loosens them, slowly unwinding them. Marks remain on the skin. They'll be gone within an hour. The moment the knots were untied and the pressure disappeared, a feeling of exhaustion came over me. It was as if I had just returned from a good run, had a hard hatha yoga class, or done some exercise. Or if she came in the evening after a hard day, during which she ran around the city and carried heavy bags. But this fatigue is pleasant, the kind in which you even want to stay a little. And the master gives such an opportunity. He can hug, stroke, calm, or simply sit next to him in order to even out the emotional state of the one who was just in his power. And he lets go only when the world returns to normal again.

How to open handcuffs without a key? Actual problems

As a rule, in the process of getting rid of handcuffs, problems arise associated either with the inability to find the necessary tool, or with going inside. It is important to note that the latter is not relevant for the BRS-2 model, since it is endowed with its through type.

In addition, there are BOS handcuffs, which have a distinctive feature (i.e., they do not have a chain between the bracelets). In this case, the owner’s hands become numb and very painful in a short period of time due to limited movement. So, even if you have a key in your hands, it is not always possible to open the lock. There is only one consolation: such handcuffs are not widely used in society, probably because of their extreme cruelty.

In the opening diagram of the BOS model, the blocker is marked with a red rectangle, and the directions of influence are marked with green arrows. The plate to be affected is indicated by a short red line. When it is in the place marked with a dotted line, the latch is considered open.

When summing up such an extraordinary story, it is important to recall a very standard, but very effective truth: the best method of getting rid of handcuffs is to prevent them from being put on.
